Plot Outline Oedipus the King A plague has afflicted Thebes. The citizens gather distant the palace of their king, Oedipus, asking him to take action. Oedipus replies that he already move his brother-in-law, Creon, to the oracle at Delphi to learn how to suspensor the city. Creon re tump overs with a nub from the oracle: the plague will terminus when the murderer of Laius, source king of Thebes, is caught and expelled; the murderer is within the city.
